Why Kuiburi?
We choose the community areas surrounded the area of Kui Buri National Park in Prachuap Khiri Khan (12.0519° N, 99.6239° E) because this area has occurred to have a long-term problem of HEC since 1992.
It appeared that HEC problems have increased sporadically and created the damage of properties and deaths of both humans and elephants.

ในการจัดกิจกรรมบริการวิชาการในครั้งนี้ มีการบริการวิชาการโดยมี คณาจารย์ที่มีองค์ความรู้ในเรื่องการจัดการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศ การอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่าและการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืน การจัดการภาคบริการ และอาจารย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางภาษา โดยมีกลุ่มนิสิตปัจจุบันและศิษย์เก่าของสาขาการจัดการภาคบริการและการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืน มีการถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และทักษะการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อเพิ่มศักยภาพให้แก่ชุมชนในการสร้างประสิทธิภาพการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศ ที่เป็นเครื่องมือในการแก้ปัญหาอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่าและการจัดการพื้นที่อนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่า โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อเพิ่มและพัฒนาทักษะการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อเพิ่มให้แก่ชุมชนและเจ้าหน้าที่อุทยานฯในการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศให้เกิดการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งเป็นเครื่องมือของการจัดการและอนุรักษ์สัตว์ป่า ในพื้นที่อุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกระจานและอุทยานแห่งชาติกุยบุรีซึ่งได้รับการรับรองเป็นมรดกโลก
โดยการประชุมนี้เป็นการประชุมที่รวมเหล่า นักวิชาการผู้เชี่ยวชาญช้างป่าเอเชีย IUCN-SSC Asian Elephant Specialist Group (AsESG member) จำนวนมากที่สุดในการจัดการประชุมเพื่อสร้างความรู้ในการอนุรักษ์ช้างป่าเพื่อชุมชนและอุทยานที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากช้างป่าที่บุกรุกพื้นที่
The 3 days’ workshop (June 20-22, 2023) related to human-elephant conflict coexistence has just ended. We aimed to empower local communities and park rangers who have faced and try to search for the best practice and sustainable solution for reducing human elephant conflict in the areas around Kui Buri National Park. We got excellent feedback from participants who were very enthusiastic to learn and improve their capacity. We appreciate to our honored guest speakers from IUCN SSC Asian Elephant Specialist Group- Professor Mostafa Feeroz from Jahangirnaga university, Bangladesh and Dr. Mattana Srikrachang who could join us and always very supportive to spared their time for our workshop.
Day 1
June 20, 2023 - English communication skills for local ecotourism guides, cook, restaurant owners and park rangers who involve with reducing the human-elephant conflict. The activities for empowering local people were include greeting, international manners, easy English communications related to their jobs. translation with knowledge added in the explanation helped increase the better understanding and positive attitudes to the grassroot of problems why elephants have to roam around human's areas.
Case study of Human-elephant Conflict in Bangladesh with Amazing photos and VDO was delivered by Prof. Feeroz. t was such a impressive talk. Hope that my translation with knowledge added in the explanation helped increase the better understanding and positive attitudes to the grassroot of problems why elephants have to roam around human's areas.
ในวันแรกของการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ แค่ครึ่งวันก็สนุกมาก จนไม่อยากพัก สันทนาการมาพร้อมกับเนื้อหาความรู้ทักษะการสื่อสารในระดับสากล และทำอย่างไรให้การสื่อารมีประสิทธิภาพที่สุด หากไม่มีพื้นฐานภาษาอังกฤษ ภาษากายแบบไหนสร้างความประทับใจให้นักท่องเที่ยว แค่การจับมือก็มีความหมายต่างกันแล้ว จบการสอนแต่ละส่วน มีการประเมินผลและฝึกปฏิบัติลองพูด ลองทำง่ายๆ นักเรียนตั้งใจ คุณครูมือใหม่ก็หายเหนือย กรณีศึกษาจากบังคลาเทศคือส่วนหนึ่งของความตั้งใจที่จะให้เห็นแนวทางการจัดการประชากรช้างป่า แบบมีองค์ความรู้และอยู่บนพื้นฐานความเข้าใจปัญหา ปัญหามีทุกพื้นที่ ระดับที่ต่างกัน ความเข้าใจบริบทพื้นที่ตนเอง จึงมีความสำคัญ
Day 2
June 21, 2023 - We provided the tips and knowledge on Hospitality services for participants. The class was led by Dr. Talissawan Saneewong Na Ayudthaya who was the Director of Sales and marketing at Hillton Thailand. Topics included the service mind, table manners, bedding, and international communication.
The items and tools to change National Park chalet to 5 start hotels were provided by Anantara Hua Hin and collaborated under Khun John Robert John Roberts. We appreciate your great support as always.
เนื้อหาที่เรียนคือภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการจัดการภาคบริการและการท่องเที่ยว (ู้สอนหลักคือ ดร. ธฤษวรรณ อัมพรมหา (หรืออ ทลิส ของเด็กๆ) อาจารย์สาขาการจัดการภาคบริการและการท่องเที่ยว วิทยาลัยนานาชาติเพื่อศึกษาความยั่งยืน นำคณะอาจารย์ บุคลากร อ ธนวรรณ วรรณสิงห์ คุณชุติกาญจน์ จิตรวีวงศ์ รวมถึงนิสิตอีโค SWUIC 18, SWUIC 19 อาจารย์ทลิสเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญในเรื่องนี้โดยตรงเนื่องจากประสบการณ์ในอดีตที่เป็น ผู้อำนวยการการขายและการตลาด โรงแรมในเครือ ฮิลตันประเทศไทย การสอนเน้นการสร้างจิตบริการ การบริการนักท่องเที่ยวอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ การสร้างเอกลักษณ์ของชุมชนตนเอง มารยาทสากลและภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการบริการนักท่องเที่ยว คำศัพท์และการสื่อสารง่ายๆ ก็สามารถสร้างความประทับใจให้นักท่องเที่ยวได้ค่ะ
คณะผู้สอนจากได้เนรมิตร บ้านพักอุทยานฯ โดยความร่วมมือกันตกแต่งบ้านกับเจ้าหน้าทีอุทยานและชุมชน เป็นโรงแรม 5ดาว โดยการสอนในครั้งนี้จะสำเ็จลงไม่ได้ หากไม่ได้รับการอนุเคราะห์เรื่องอุปกรณ์บนโต๊ะอาหารจาก โรงแรมอนันตราหัวหิน ภายใต้การประสานงานของคูณ John Robert
Day 3
Course of day 3 was aimed to increase their understand on the concept of ecotourism. Theory of ecotourism and sustainable tourism was delivered by my self and Gem and Kitt , SWUIC 18 Tawin G. Tana-atsawachot. Kitt and Gem taught the mammal identification and some easy common English words. Participants learnt about how to communicate to tourist for in the different situations. Role play activities were introduced for evaluating their performances of different case studies. spited into 3 groups.

Luckily, the activities was fun as American students from SFS (School for field studies) helped us with role play. They attending the field-based education under the Conservation and Development Studies , Royal Government of Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Cambodia.
กิจกรรมวันที่ 3 เป็นการสอนเรื่องหลักการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศ เพือการอนุรักษ์ช้างป่า เน้นการปฏิบัติ การเรียกชื่อสัตว์เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ การดูแลนักท่องเที่ยวให้ปฏิบัติตามกฏของพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ ทำอย่างไรให้นักท่องเที่ยวเข้าใจและเห็นความสำคัญของการอนุรักษ์ และการดำเนินการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืน โดยเน้นการมีส่วนร่วม และการแบ่งปัน
กิจกรรมทดสอบเน้นบทบาทสมมติ โดยแบ่งกลุ่มเปน 3 กลุ่มคือชุมชน มัคคุเทศก์ท้องถิ่น และเจ้าหน้าที่อุทยานแห่งชาติ โดยมีนิสิตชาวอมเริกันเข้าร่วม จาก SFS
