The programme

B.A. in Sustainable Hospitality and Tourism Management

The aim of the Sustainable Hospitality and Tourism Management program is to produce global citizens who are capable of working and initiating changes in the hospitality and tourism industry in Thailand and foreign countries. The program provides the students with an opportunity to learn from a variety of hospitality and tourism perspectives through the concepts of sustainability. Our program differentiates itself from other hospitality and tourism program in that it fosters sustainability consciousness and systematic thinking skills that are vital for the future workforce and humanity. The program also prepares our graduates for real-world challenges through internship programs where our students can learn from well-known professionals from various sectors. Our internship partners range from five-star hotel chains to international airlines, government agencies, global tour operators, and tourism social enterprises. In addition, the students will be immersed in a truly international environment where there are at least 20 exchange students of over five nationalities joining the program every year.

Ecotourism Management

This course explores ecotourism resource planning and management. The focus is on community participation in all aspects including cultural preservation, natural resources and economic development. A field trip is required.

Ecotourism Fieldtrips

The students in ecotourism concentration will learn and gain more knowledge about protected area management. Moreover, a field trip can make students feel impressed with the park and might attract someone to be a spokesperson to attract others to know the place that they go. In addition purpose of the field trip is to know the problem that the park has faced which makes us know how to adapt and find a solution for the problem. 

Wildlife Conservation Management

The course focuses on conservation theories and biodiversity interactions in ecosystems. Topics cover principles of systematic wildlife management and conservation and analysis of tourism related factors influencing wildlife status and habitats. A field trip is required.

Protected Area Management

The course covers management and establishment of criteria for protected areas including national parks and wildlife sanctuaries worldwide. This course also examines biodiversity and sustainability caused by the establishment and management of protected area. An analysis of tourism impacts is investigated. A field trip is required.
